What a fabulous job and what an interesting project. It is really nice to see people actually doing something positive and doing it in such a commercially successful way.

Built in 1937 as an extension to Shoreditch Town Hall, this former civic building has been thoughtfully converted into serviced office and meeting room space by entirely reorganising the internal layout and adding a sleek glazed upper floor. The character of the existing building informs the design of a sociable and stimulating working environment.
Completed in April 2008, the design incorporates a new double height reception, communal kitchens, break out areas and a landscaped roof garden with panoramic views of the city.
The scheme increased the productivity of the building, which prior to refurbishment had a gross internal area of 24,700 sq ft - achieving 14,575 sq ft lettable. The final scheme provides a gross internal area of 28,300 sq ft achieving 17,000 sq ft lettable.
